Good afternoon, ~
The snow has finally melted all over campus and we all are very much looking forward to the coming signs of spring: green grass on the quad; blooming forsythia and magnolias; and college students in flip-flops... Ah, to be 20 again.
If you are keeping track, next week is the last week of regular classes. This means that final projects, papers and presentations are probably looming for your student and finals are just around the corner. Please encourage your student to buckle down and finish this quarter strong. Spring tends to breathe new life into everything - but they've got to get there!
Other things to remember:
• If your student is planning a move to Columbus, encourage them to schedule an appointment with an advisor from the Columbus campus. An email was sent to students today with the schedule of visiting advisors. Here is the list: http://lima.osu.edu/advising/campusChangeProcedures.pdf
• If your student has not yet scheduled for Spring Quarter - now is the time! Classes are filling up fast.
• The priority deadline for filing the FAFSA and applying for scholarships was February 15, but there is still time to get everything in! File the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov AND have your student complete the special scholarships application. http://www.sfa.osu.edu/scholarships/index.asp?tab=d#pagecontent We will continue to award students past the deadline as long as funds are still available.
• And finally - we invite you to come to campus on Thursday, March 10 for our winter concert. http://lima.osu.edu/calendar/detail.php?id=404&d=main Make it a night out with your student and enjoy a little of what campus has to offer!
Have a great weekend!
