Winter Week 1

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and certainly hope your student enjoyed a little bit of a break.

Just a few reminders as we head into winter quarter:

  • Your student's bill should have been paid by the first day of the quarter. Late fees will begin to accrue now if it has not been paid. Additionally, class schedules will be dropped if fees are not paid by January 18. Statement of Account can be viewed and tuition can be paid by students at Buckeyelink.osu.edu
  • If you DO NOT want student health insurance please be sure your student has that removed as soon as possible! It will show up on your student's Statement of Account if he or she has not waived it, and it is more difficult to remove it the later it gets into the quarter.
  • Please be sure any outstanding Financial Aid issues are resolved as quickly as possible. Again, these issues become more troublesome the later it gets into the quarter.
  • And finally, any student who was waitlisted for a class should continue checking his or her schedule on Buckeyelink.osu.edu daily as the waitlist will automatically enroll students as seats become available.
  • I also wanted to let you know that I sent all of your students an email earlier today letting them know that an H1N1 Vaccine Clinic has been scheduled on campus. Here is what I sent them:

"Flu activity is expected to continue for several months - now is the perfect time to get your H1N1 flu vaccine.

The Allen County Health Department will be on campus on January 26 and 27 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in Rooms 212 &213 of the Public Service Building and will provide the H1N1 vaccine to all students, faculty and staff who would like to get one. There is no charge for the vaccine.

Save time - pre-register on-line - be sure to hit "save” to save the information you enter, print out a copy and bring it with you on the 26 or 27.

Even if you don't pre-register, you can still stop by and be vaccinated.

Students under the age of 18 will need a signed release form from a parent/guardian."

Please let me know if you have any questions and have a great weekend!
