Ohio State Lima Student Trustee nominations sought

Nominations for the Student Representative to the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University at Lima are now open. The student trustee attends all board meetings and assigned committee meetings in his/her capacity and is often called upon to provide information and offer advice on campus issues concerning academic and non academic matters. 

The student trustee serves a one year term, beginning in July.  Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA;
• Must have completed 24 credit hours on the Ohio State Lima campus, be currently enrolled, and plan to be a full time student during 2006-07;
• Must have had interaction with campus organizations/student activities;
• Must be available to attend and participate in a monthly meeting of the Ohio State Lima Board of Trustees, which typically meets on the second Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm.

Applications for the position of student trustee are available in the office of the Dean and Director and online. Completed applications are to be returned to the Dean and Director’s office no later than May 1, 2006. 

The Academic Affairs and Student Life committee of the Board will review the applications and do initial interviews with the applicants. The top candidates will be interviewed by the full Board on June 8, 2006.
