For Immediate Release August 13, 2002 CONTACT: Pam Joseph at (419) 995-8284 or Jon Rockhold at (419) 995-8390 Ohio State Lima Psych Club dedicates bench to faculty and staff The 2001/2002 Psychology Club officers of Ohio State University at Lima will donate a bench to the campus dedicated to the Psychology Department faculty and staff at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, in front of Galvin Hall. Club officers will present the bench. Members of the Psychology Club and the campus community are also invited to attend. The bench and plaque were purchased by the Psychology Club with funds raised by club members during the course of the previous academic year. Members of the Psychology Club made the decision to purchase the bench as a way to thank department faculty and staff for their continued efforts to support the Psychology Club and its initiatives for its student members. The Ohio State University at Lima Psychology Club is a student organization open to all students attending Ohio State Lima that are interested in psychology. The club’s goals and initiatives include active participation in the campus community, providing real-life information to students about psychology-related fields, promoting undergraduate research efforts of students on the campus, and providing information and assistance with the graduate school application process. Student members of the Psychology Club find they become well connected to professors and other students on campus. # # # |
