Feb. 26 PALS event with cellist Patrice Jackson moves to Science 100

Cellist Patrice Jackson will be the featured performer at the Performing Arts and Lecture Series at 12:30 p.m., Wed., Feb. 26, 2009, in Science 100. The Performing Arts and Lecture Series events are sponsored by The Ohio State University at Lima and Rhodes State College and are free and open to the public.

Jackson will spend the lunch hour with local elementary school students beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Reed Hall before moving to Science 100 for her PALS performance. Jackson made her debut at thirteen with the Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra. This sixth generation string musician won the 2002 Sphinx Competition and later that same year made her international debut in South Africa. Jackson has studied at the Yale School of Music and Julliard. After being featured on the Lima Campus Feb. 26, Jackson will perform with the Lima Symphony Orchestra on Feb. 28.
