Red Fox and Firebird cast plans fairy tale followup at Elida Elementary

Elida fifth graders were among more than 2300 school children who saw the show at Ohio State Lima

The cast of Ohio State Lima’s Autumn production of The Red Fox and Firebird will visit the fifth grade Language Arts classes at Elida Elementary School from 12:30-3:30 p.m., Wed. and Thurs., Dec. 17 and 18, 2008. The Elida students saw the play at Ohio State Lima and sent followup letters to the cast and crew with comments, pictures, questions and compliments. The Ohio State students will answer the questions in person.

The elementary students will be doing a pre-theatre unit prior to the visit. Twelve cast and crew members are scheduled to attend.

The Red Fox and the Firebird is part of the Theatre for Young Audiences program at Ohio State Lima. Each Autumn Quarter, the department produces a show geared toward school aged children. In November 2008, more than 2,300 attended.
