More than 1900 expected for Career Day at Ohio State Lima/Rhodes State College

More than 1900 high school students from 37 area schools are expected to attend the annual Career Day sponsored by Ohio State Lima and Rhodes State College on Fri., Dec. 12, 2008. The topics are varied and include Accounting, Finance, Banking, Networks and Security, Web Programming, Art, Athletic Training, Chemistry, Broadcasting, Sports Management, Pre-Med, Veterinary Medicine, Paramedics, Natural Resources, Speech and Hearing, Optometry, Law, GIS/GPS (Global Positioning), Law Enforcement, English, and Pharmacy. New career areas this year are Digital Entertainment and Game Design, Photography, and Forensics.

Guidance counselors who accompany the students also have special presentations geared toward their interests, including an OSU NCAA compliance officer and a representative from the Ohio College Access Network. The guidance counselor meeting runs from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Reed Hall Cafeteria.
