Ohio State History Professor talks about the hardships of the Thirty Years War

Dr. Tryntje Helfferich, Assistant Professor of History at Ohio State Lima, will present “Say to the Angel of Ruin: ‘It is Enough’”: Life in the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 20, 2008, in Science 165. Dr. Helfferich will outline the challenges of everyday life during the greatest and most destructive Europe-wide conflict prior to the modern era. A question and answer session will follow the lecture.

The presentation is part of the History Department’s ongoing Brownbag Lecture Series.
