Ohio State Lima welcomes WBL Scholastic Bowl Tournament

Varsity teams from 10 high schools will compete

The Ohio State University at Lima will host its second annual Western Buckeye League Scholastic Bowl Tournament starting at 10 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2008. Competition rooms are in Galvin Hall. Registration and the award ceremony are in Reed Hall. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Trophy presentations are at 3:30 p.m. in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall.

High school teams from around western Ohio will go head-to-head in an exciting round-robin scholastic bowl tournament. Varsity teams are from Bath, Celina, Defiance, Elida, Kenton, Ottawa Glandorf, Shawnee, St. Marys, Van Wert and Wapakoneta. JV teams from Bath, Celina, Defiance, Elida, Kenton, Ottawa Glandorf, Shawnee and St. Marys will compete.

Awards will include Varsity Tournament Champion and Runner-up, First Place and Runner-up for JV, and an All Tournament Team. The WBL Scholastic Bowl Tournament is sponsored in part by the Mercer Savings Bank.
