Ohio State Lima to offer social work degree

Applications being accepted now for Autumn 2014 cohort

The Ohio State University College of Social Work will offer the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) at Ohio State Lima beginning Autumn 2014. Students will be able to complete all four years of the degree without leaving the Lima campus.

Students who wish to apply to the social work major must complete pre-major required course work prior to beginning the social work major in Autumn Semester; earn a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA; and earn a minimum 2.0 pre-major GPA in the required pre-major courses. Students who completed human services-related associate degrees at other institutions may be able to transfer into the BSSW program.

Ohio State’s BSSW is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The program on the Lima campus consists of a blend of distance-learning technologies (online courses) and traditional classroom instruction.

For more information or to apply to the BSSW program, contact Marissa Snyder at (419) 995-8220 or christoff-snyder.5@osu.edu.
