Ohio State Lima and Rhodes State College announce Social Work agreement
Application deadline for bachelor’s program is March 31
The Ohio State University Lima and Rhodes State College announce a new transfer and articulation agreement in social work effective Autumn Semester 2014. This agreement ensures a smooth transition for graduates of Rhodes State College’s Associate of Applied Science degree in Human Services Technology to Ohio State’s Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program.
"We’re excited to welcome Rhodes State students to the Ohio State social work program," said Jennie Babcock, undergraduate studies director at Ohio State’s College of Social Work. "As the demand for social workers is expected to increase by 25 percent in the current decade, this collaboration between the two schools will provide the opportunity for more students to earn their social work degree and thus contribute to the social service needs of the Lima community."
This new articulation agreement provides students with a seamless educational pathway. Students who follow the Rhodes State – OSU College of Social Work Plan of Study will be able to complete their BSSW degree in two years of full-time study.
Admission into the BSSW program is competitive. Students transferring into the program must have earned a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and submit the Ohio State Transfer Application and the College of Social Work BSSW Application. The BSSW program application deadline is March 31. For more information about the BSSW program, contact Carla Niese at (419) 995-8399 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
