Ohio State Lima faculty and staff earn promotions
Three employees transition to new roles
Kristina Healy has been named the new assistant director of Academic Advising. Healy came to Ohio State Lima in 2010 as an academic advisor where she was instrumental in helping to solidify the semester course schedule. In her new role, she will work with administration to organize the master schedule and determine academic program needs. She will also advise post secondary and continuing education students and head up the early alert program to increase retention rates.
Dr. Leah Herner-Patnode has been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of education. Herner-Patnode has been with Ohio State Lima since 2004. Her research focuses on how teacher educators help pre-service teachers develop knowledge, skills and dispositions to effectively teach all types of learners as well as how technology is used to improve these skills. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and her Masters of Education and Doctor of Education degrees from University of Nevada.
Shane McCrory is the new director of Student Life at Ohio State Lima. McCrory began his Ohio State Lima career in 2010 as an academic advisor. Prior to that, McCrory held several student services positions at Ohio State, Ohio University and the University of Toledo. In his new role, McCrory will manage the Heath Learning Center and supervise the student life related functions on campus, including student activities, student athletics, counseling services, career services and disability services.
