Ohio State Lima hosts diversity officers’ annual
conference
The Ohio State University at Lima and the Office of Institutional Diversity will host the Ohio Diversity Officers Collaboration Fourth Annual Diversity Conference from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Fri., July 27, 2012. The conference theme is "The Changing Diversity Footprint: Striving Towards Equity, Progress and Sustainability." Ohio State’s Dr. Valerie B. Lee, Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and Vice President for Outreach and Advancement, will present "Lessons Learned, Obstacles Overcome: A Journey Towards Access, Inclusion and Excellence" as the morning keynote speaker.
Dr. Chris Gurrie, assistant professor of speech at the University of Tampa will present "Communication for Connection: Student Retention Begins Students Arrive on Campus" at 11:45 a.m.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Life and Physical Sciences Building Lobby with registration and a continental breakfast followed by the welcome and the start of the program at 9:00 a.m. in Science 100.
