Ohio State graduates record number of students
118 Ohio State Lima students among graduates
For the fourth consecutive year, Ohio State will graduate the largest spring quarter class ever with the awarding of 10,642 degrees on Sun., June 10, 2012, in the Ohio Stadium in Columbus. Among those graduates, 118 degrees will be awarded to Ohio State Lima students: 20 associates, 72 bachelors and 29 masters degrees.
Ohio State’s class of 2012 surpasses the 2011 class by several hundred graduates due to the university’s efforts to attract the state’s brightest students, student retention rates and the rush to graduate ahead of the conversion to semesters that begins later this month. Sunday’s ceremony is the university’s 400th commencement and Ohio State’s last on the academic quarter system.
