Sutton-Ramspeck publishes latest poetry book

Doug Sutton-Ramspeck, assistant professor of English at The Ohio State University at Lima, recently published his third full-length collection of poetry, Mechanical Fireflies. According to reviewer Kevin Prufer, in Mechanical Fireflies, "the natural world intrudes on our daily lives in complex, often unnerving ways."

Mechanical Fireflies was selected for the 2010 Barrow Street Poetry Book Prize. This book was selected by Mary Ruefle, a well-known poet of more than a dozen books. Sutton-Ramspeck’s first collection, Black Tupelo Country (BkMk Press), won the Eric Hoffer Book Award for Poetry in 2010 and the John Ciardi Prize for Poetry in 2007. Another book, Possum Nocturne, is published by NorthShore Press.

All of Sutton-Ramspeck’s books are available on Amazon and in the Lima Campus bookstore.
