Media Alert: Ohio State Lima convenes Advocates meeting
The Ohio State University at Lima Advocates group will convene at 11:30 a.m., Fri., April 8, 2011, in Reed Hall 160. Ohio Chautauqua 2011 will be the program topic.
Ohio Chautauqua 2011 is a five-day event that combines living history, music and entertainment, education, theatre and audience interaction in an exciting cultural event the whole community can enjoy. In addition to the major presentations under the red and white striped tent on the Ohio State Lima campus each evening, scholar actors will present community workshops for adults and children throughout the week. This year, Ohio Chautauqua 2011 celebrates the sesquicentennial of the Civil War and explores the legacies of those who helped shape our modern world. The event runs July 6-10, 2011. For more information, visit Lima.OSU.edu/Chautauqua.
The Advocates group was formed by the Ohio State Lima Board of Trustees to engage past members and gain their insights and perspective on how Ohio State Lima can better serve its students and community. Members can also be past members of the Citizens’ Advisory Council that preceded the Board of Trustees and selected community leaders.
