Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum biflorum)
In bloom May 10 - July 4.
Slender curving stems 1-2 feet tall with oval parallel veined
leaves. Bell shaped greenish white flowers hang in clusters among
the leaves. The common name of this plant may be based on its
presumed medicinal uses. Root extracts are supposed to speed
healing (sealing) of wounds and bruses.
