Lady Barons claim 1st win, 58 - 47 over UA Wayne

Orrville, OH – Allison Brodman’s (Bluffton)15 points helped lead the way for the Lady Barons to break through for their first win this season.

The Barons broke out to an early lead in the first half and maintained that lead for the duration of the game despite some cold shooting in the first half that allowed UA Wayne within striking distance.

In the 2nd half the Barons came out shooting much better, allowing them to build a lead of 17 points at one point. The 3 point arc became a favorite spot for several members of the Barons as Danielle Dangler (Paulding), Brittany Seale (Bethel), Rachel Davis (Temple Christian), Courtney Mauk (Bath), and Brodman all contributed with shots made from 3 point range. Dangler had the hottest touch however, knocking down two 3 pointers as well as 3 long jumpers all near the arc as well to give her 12 points on the day.

The win comes at a key time for the Barons as they come home for one game this weekend versus OU Chillicothe before hitting the road again for four straight games, not returning home again until January 9th!

The Barons contest vs OU Chillicothe is this Saturday, Dec. 15th at the Hangar in Cook Hall. Tip off is set for 1pm, with the Barons Men following up the act with their tip off set for 3pm.

Come out and support the Barons! Admission is free for all OSU and Rhodes State students.
