Barons Baseball looking at a big week

Lima, OH – Barons baseball is in the midst of what looks like it will be a very heated race to an ORCC West Championship. With an ORCC record of 4&1, the Barons are right on the heels of current division leader Wright State Lake who is 6&1 while perennial power Miami Hamilton is still very much in the race with a record of 5&2.

“This early in conference play it is very hard to say what will happen. We have played some good baseball the last couple weeks and we have also played some very bad baseball. I think our outcomes are determined more by our own approach that day than by anything else. If we are up, sharp, alert, and hungry, we are a very dangerous team. Hopefully we find a way soon to come out with that want to win attitude every day and if we do this next 30 or so days of Barons baseball will be a lot of fun!” Said Coach Ambroza.

The Barons have victories over OU Chillicothe, Miami Middletown, and Miami Hamilton thus far in 2012 ORCC play. This week is going to have a huge impact on the 2012 ORCC West picture as the Barons will face Wright State Lake twice and Miami Hamilton twice. “This week has an almost post season feel to it. With Lake, Hamilton, and us pushing each other in the standings and all facing each other this week. Well……, it’s going to be a lot of fun!” Added Coach Ambroza.

The schedule for the Barons this week has changed slightly as Thursday’s game at Wright State Lake has been moved to a 7pm start instead of 4pm. Below is the updated schedule for this week.
