Lima, OH – The Barons golf team has seen steady improvement thus far this season. The team scores have improved each week with the best score of the season, 327 being shot by the Barons on Saturday at OU Zanesville.
At OSU Newark on Friday, April 23rd the Barons played at Granville Golf Club and played well by shooting a 336. Freshman Brady Schroeder shot a 74, which earned him a tie for overall medallist. Schroeder had to battle with his opponent for another 7 holes before winning in sudden death extra play, finally being declared the tournament Medallist.
At OU Zanesville on Saturday, April 24th the Barons really had it going as they shot a season best 327. Leading the way for the Barons this day were Schroeder with a 77, Clark Luginbuhl with an 81, Brandon Hemker with an 83, and Joe Biller with an 86.
Next week the Barons play at Wooster and St. Clairsville to gear up for the ORC State tournament weekend. They keep getting better, gaining valuable experience and hopefully carrying some momentum in to the post season play.
