English Program's Study Abroad Program
at The Shaw Festival in Canada
OSU Lima students are eligible to participate in an international study program at theaters in Canada. Most of the expenses for the trip are covered by the university and your tuition. The program includes: all theater tickets, a backstage tour and a post-show chat with actors, transportation from Lima and hotel accommodation, and two or three meals.
Participants receive a total of 10 credit hours during spring quarter: five for the introductory drama course (English 262 or H262) and five for studying abroad (English 697). In the drama course, students read the plays scheduled to be performed by the Shaw Festival Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. We then travel to see professional productions of the plays we have studied.
